That sounds like there was an issue with the broadband being delivered to your property that was outside somewhere, so what hub yiou have doesn't come into it.

My router went off for 5 hours on Friday which they stopped all devices and the tv working - this was all back to normal on Saturday but I want to check the router is the best available as I do not want this happening again as it caused major issues for an autistic person in the household I have the sky broadband hub

The main issue was we had no internet for over 5 hours so I presume this needs checking by sky outside of the home

You could try running the line test here to see if any faults are found:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

If it shows no issues then all is good at present as no system is gouing to be able to tell in advance when an external fault might occur.
