I keep getting a privacy warning u see my wifi on my iPhone, saying that the network is blocking the DNsS network.

and today I had messages pop up once connected to the WiFi saying someone from the US and Manchester were trying to get into my wifi so I couldn't use it.

this is not on. What do I do

this is what came up twice whilst I was connected to my sky wifi

today I had messages pop up once connected to the WiFi saying someone from the US and Manchester were trying to get into my wifi so I couldn't use it.

That's not an external access attempt: it's the security certificate for the 'myrouter.io' domain which is registered to the Comcast Corporation (the American parent company of Sky Group, headquartered in Pittsburgh PA). The certificate was issued by Comodo CA Ltd which has its UK business address in Salford Quays.

myrouter.io is a test domain used by Sky Max Hubs: if you are seeing this regularly then your internet connection is probably a little bit wobbly.

Apple warnings about encrypted DNS are a different topic.

@Zoe143 reboot the hub and if possible leave it off for an hour so you get a new connection from Sky which often sorts odd faults. The security warningyou posted is a false alarm but DNS issues can be a pain but it is very unlikely there is any kind of security breach it is far more likely a glitch.

One other workround is to add a public DNS address to the network set up for the Sky connection. Simply change the setting for the DNS from automatic to manual and add a public DNS address like Google's which are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 or Cloudflare's at 1.1.1.1 to the other addresses you see.
