Cant install or update Android Apps through Playstore and YouTube not working

Hi,

I've noticed since yesterday when I watch YouTube shorts or a normal video,0 the video stops playing after a bit, like it does when connection is weak or starts buffering. It doenst come back on. I also noticed that I couldn't install any apps Google play store or update them.

All the above works if I use mobile data. I have tried all the fixes and spoken to Google Support, it seems to be an issue with Sky.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have reset the router and turned it off and on again. It didn't work.

Hi,
I'm having issue with my wifi. Since Friday I've had issues using my mobile android devices over wifi specifically with the youtube app which continually buffers (it does not over data and if I use youtube using a browser). Also I can not update any apps over wifi using the play store. It downloads a %, sometimes upto 90%, then just pends until I get an unable to update error message - again it works over data. I've done the usual of resetting the router, unplugging for several hours, restarting my devices, signing out of google, clearing cache and data, done the broadband and wifi checker on the sky app and the broadband shield is already disabled. I also saw a poster with similar issues to mine last year and enabling/switching to IPV6 resolved their issues. I checked my router and I'm already on this (from what I could tell, going that deep into the router settings is beyond my technical ability) I tried someone else's wifi today with no issues, all my apps updated and youtube played fine.

We're having the same issue too withh google play store. Apps update over mobile data but not our sky wifi. Issue is common on two phones and 3 tablets.

Same in West Yorkshire having issues with play store, you tube buffering, and sky downloads programmes etc

Plus other family members also having same issues. When I'm not using my home WiFi and I use a cafe WiFi or my 5g it works fine! The issue is with sky!

I'm having the same problem..... something has clearly changed since Thursday 16th Jan. I'm also in West Yorkshire.

My HP Chromebook has also had mysterious WiFi connection issues with the sky router. It randomly disconnects after a few minutes.

I'm in W Yorks too and same with me, been about a week now, WiFi elsewhere and phone data is fine so definitely a sky issue!

I have this issue too (West Midlands). Unable to update or install apps on wifi from play store, on my android phone, my tablet or my husband's phone (he has a separate account). Done all the suggested checks. Can update and install apps on mobile data and Macdonalds wifi! Sky help indicated no problem. Any suggestions?

I'm also having the same issue too (also based in the West Midlands). Unable to update apps on my android mobile since Yesterday. Also can't watch Paramount Plus.

@Phil216 Just checked play store had 9 apps for updates on Android Samsung A54 downloaded All and they All installed as expected. And for me that is good as i by no means have a phone clue....

App downloads stop at a random percentage and never download.

If your apps stop downloading they will work off WiFi connection

I have the same issue here in Worcestershire
