Router has started rebooting during the night

During the last week, I've noticed that my Sky Broadband hub has started rebooting during the night. On a couple of occasions, it was because the firmware got updated twice in one week, which in itself seems unusual given that firmware updates are not a common event. It is now on v7.04.0100.R. Nevertheless, since the last update, the router seems to be rebooting at about 03:30 each night. Does anyone know if this is new, expected behaviour?

I should add that I have no connectivity problems during the daytime whilst using the broadband services - everything seems to be fine. I'm just intrigued by this (new to me) nighttime rebooting frequency. I've had the router for at least three years on a Superfast 80/20 connection.

me too , except today it didnt reboot properly and needed a power off to resolve .!

Thanks, I did do a search before posting but search didn't give me any relevant hits. Looking at your thread I can see it's affecting a few of us. Let's hope Sky are on the case.

@Pistonhead @hgwv @GuyTrem At least everyone is fully aware what is going on, and after the event someone can take a look see what the hub has settled on even better record the before and after, ride out the pain especially if up and doing something at the time!

Same again last night. Another reboot and Firmware updated to v7.04.0204.R. Toggles between that and v7.04.0100.R each night.

Same for me, I am also on Version 7.04.0204.R as of 1:30am today.

Same here, I thought it was just our router playing up. The only difference I can see in the log is

01:05:30 syslog: TR69: wget failed - ConnectionError (4)

when version 7.04.0204.R is installed

Mine has started rebooting at 2:01 every night for the last 3 nights.

Need to reset my DNS.

What is worse, my wireless phone lights up with a "line down" alarm and wakes me up!

@Pistonhead Thanks for reporting again, could you keep an eye on the flip/flop of the version's would do myself but the wife is having none off it now for putting the SR203 back on to see what's going on.👍
