SR203 LAN performance

Finally got my SR203 and have been doing testing on its performance vs my TP-LInk VR2800 and from what I can gather based on my testing the SR203 is about 200mbps behind the VR2800 when it comes to speed tests. With the VR2800 I can get the full speed of the 900mbps I pay for while the SR203 struggles to reach 700mbps and this can be replicated across multiple speed test sources and via direct downloads like steam.

I was wondering if the SR213 offers any sort of performance improvement over LAN vs the SR203 ( am assuming the SR213 has a more powerful chipset at least ). I don't really worry so much about the SR213's lack of seperation of the 2ghz/5ghz band as I rarely ever use wireless

@Aurynfire You have a VR Tp-Link that does the job so why are you just not using it, park the SR203 away in it's box until sky want it back at the end off the contract! You want to see speed, here on a FF500 connection on wireless wi-fi/Ethernet combined.

Hi,

Yes you will notice a difference, i had tried the SR203 on my line and was unable to perform to the same level as the SR213

You might find that the router you have will perform better than sky's, im not familiar with that router so cannot comment on that.

Thanks I figured as much, guess I'll contact Sky about getting the SR213 ( i need it to be a sky router cause my lazy father refuses to give up the digital voice in exchange for his mobile )
