Installation fibreoptic

I am stressing out we have just moved into our first home and our router has gotten lost by royal mail but our fibre optic installation is happening today and im worried we will get in trouble because our router has not arrived yet.

I was told by John from Sky that the engineers carry a hub with them at all times but their tone seemed off which made my more anxious.

Has anyone experienced this before?

@Smen1379 It happens from time to time, if sky ARE doing the install part then you may be lucky that he has a spare in his van, that's not a given and a nice Engineer will give you one as a LONER till sky find, trace whatever is needed. But to get the Fibre up and working they do not need a hub, have other methods off confirming it's all working and good to go!
