Looking to possibly switch to sky broadband as out of contract. I see the standard router is WiFi 5 with an up sell of £4 a month for the WiFi 6 model. Is the WiFi 6 a much better option.

Plus you can generally pick up second hand routers on eBay would I be able to amend the login so it'd work or as it's fttp are the logins hard coded to any sky account like BT do.

@SteveLP Sky Max has a little bit of a bad user rap, never used so cannot comment, SR203 wifi5 version rock solid. If you need to have a landline then zero choice you have to use a Sky Hub no other choice.

Want your own then Asus connected direct on the ONT is the way to go. And you need to be able/capable off doing that, Sky only support there own equipment just like any other ISP!

Thanks, it was more for the WiFi capability, I'd want the phone so unfortuanetly have to use Sky's routers rather than my own. Don't fancy having them daisy chained just to get wifi 6 and keep a phone going too.
