Is this a new or exisiting setup? Is it working in some rooms but not others?

it seems perfect in my office where the router is , but drops badly in the lounge affecting Amazon prime shows ,keeps buffering etc ,upstairs drops down to nearly nothing , supposed to be an upgrade to the max / best available from my previous supply from them !

It sounds like you need some boosters/pods. If you have the Sky Max subscription you can claim these for free through Sky.
