Sky Glass and Mesh Routers

I have sky fibre broadband and sky glass. My sky router is in a different room to the sky glass so connects wirelessly via the sky router. I want to buy a mesh router pack to boost my WiFi signal but have read there might be problems with routers cutting each other out. I thought that sky glass had to connect to a sky router? Is this the case or can I somehow turn off the sky router and just use the mesh router as the only router? Also, does the TP Link Deco X95 or X60work with Sky? I have read conflicting threads that seem to say both yes and No? Thanks for your help!

Sky Glass is a simple WiFi 6 client device. You may be thinking of Sky Q which has a rather more complicated relationship with the ISP hardware.

Thanks. That makes much more sense. I dont think there is anything stopping me getting the mesh routers then. That's really helpful.

@Mike237 if you do go down the route of using third party WiFi it is advised to turn off the WiFi on your Sky hub to avoid interference. I use a Deco set up myself which is linked by an ethernet cable from my Sky hub and set to operate in access point mode which simplifies the set up.

Hi I own a set of 3 Deco E4 units. My issue is that I need the Deco mesh system as I have an annexe in the garden, and I use it to get wifi to the smart tv, phones, and latop down there. The router is in the front of the house, the Glass tv in the back of the house, and the garden annexe about 50 efeet away. When I had the Sky Q box, I had the main deco pod by the router at the front of the house, the 2nd Deco pod by the Sky Q box, and the 3rd Deco in the garden annexe.which used to work great with the Sky Q box, and the Sky router. The signal was strong enough to reach down the garden and get a wifi signal to the smart TV and my mobile phone and laptop etc. It was not hard wired in, just doing what deco does! However now I no longer have a Sky Q box but now have a Sky Glass TV. and I have no idea how to configure it so that I can get a wifi signal to the annexe ... I have a lodger moving into the annexe on Monday and I promised her wifi! - help!! please!! thank you
