&lt;P&gt;Depends how you view security. People only put minor&amp;nbsp;IoT devices like smart plugs, bulbs etc in guest WiFi networks because they don't trust the manufacturer&amp;nbsp;and what communication is going on with the devices. With video doorbells &amp;amp; home alarms I would assume you trust the manufacturer&amp;nbsp;otherwise I would question why you are allowing it to record footage of you and protect your home.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The only real answer is you purchase a 3rd party router that has guest networks or VLANs and use that instead.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;No not unless the unit is physical compromised or the manufacturer&amp;nbsp;is heavily hacked. Even then it would be a small risk and you'd have to be targeted specifically as the alarm system would have to be modified to be able to sniff network traffic and setup some sort of man in the middle attack.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
