How are you finding the powelines?

I have a TP-Link router and it covers the 3 bed double storey house but my sons loves his online games and uses powerline for low latency. I have a AV1000 using but the speed never goes beyond 120Mbs but Wi-FI is 450Mbs+ in same lcoation.

If I was to replace the TP-Link router then would go for a 2 unit triple band mesh. The 3rd band bachaul makes a huge different..but I don't think £200 will cover it.

@Danny2610 different users have different needs with Stream pucks you may find a multi unt Zen WiFi set up best while as a gamer you may need QOS if other members of the family watch TV while you are gaming. A lot depends on the layout of your home and even how it is built. Settling for slower wifi significantly reduces the costyour budget limits you to WiFi 6 or 6E from a quick check.

Asus units seem to support DHCPv4 option61 that works with all Sky's UK services.

@Sayek powerline adapters never deliver the rated speed in my experience you are lucky if you get 30% but out right speed is less important for gaming than low jitter and latency.. Online gaming itself only uses something around 10Mb/s but of course loading updates etc will use more. Whether your son's experience would be improved by getting a decent whole home wifi system is debatable as it all depends on the layout and type of construction of your home.
