Humming Noise

Have recently converted to full fibre, big mistake, we can now hear a loud humming over most of the house. Narrowed it down to the broadband, switched it off at the mains and the noise stopped, scared to turn it back on now

@Lesley0911 Which part did you switch off to clear your noise? Sky Hub or OR Openreach Modem

Hi Jim, I turned off at the mains so believe both were switched off

@Lesley0911 Turn the OR ONT on first, will take a few minutes to boot up to the green lights, see if you are getting any humming off it, can just be the range of frequency that you have some people hear and others not.

Couple minutes later the Sky router, it takes around the five mins to boot, same listening again. You can let us know of the findings.

Hi, I am so sorry for the late reply, just found the responses in my junk folder.

This did indeed fix the problem, once switched back on, the humming had disappeared.
