topic Sky Q boxes without Sky router? in Broadband

Hi all

We have Sky Q service with FTTC broadband. Sky Q is on a 1Tb UHD box and we have a Sky Q Mini box in the kitchen. Broadband is currently via FTTC copper (around 80Mb) to an SR203 Sky router. Both Sky Q boxes are connected to the router via wired ethernet and the wifi on the router (and both Sky Q boxes) is disabled. I am running wifi via a separate 3rd party solution (Ruckus).

I am looking to dispense with the Sky router altogether but recall that I have read a few times that the Sky Q Mini box may have issues with this? It *sounds* like this is a wifi only issue (direct 2.4GHz wifi chat between the Sky Q boxes?) and so hopefully shouldn't affect me (since both Sky Q boxes are hard wired), but I wanted to check to verify this before I proceed any further.

I appreciate any feedback anyone can give me on this front.

Thanks

Hardwired should be fine with a 3rd party router
