I saw from https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/IPV6-not-available-via-SKY-Hub-gigabit-fiber/m-p/4440212#M358244 that IPv6 was due to be supported in "early 2024". Does anyone know of the current status of this? I have a VPN that I really only use as an IPv6 tunnel that I'd like to get rid of.

I was chatting to SKY today on the phone and agent told me they had not heard of any plans to introduce it. In a seperate private message with a SKY employee earlier this year I was told its actualy the "last mile provider" who is responsible for enabling IPV6, so safe to say nobody seems to know whats going on ....

Thanks, that's good to know. I rebooted my modem/router just now and still only got an IPv4 address, but I'd guess that's because they're migrating exchanges a few at a time.

Hi, just wondering is there a way to find out status of IP v6 rollout or does it require a Sky Hub router update? I have a Model SR203 with Firmware Version 7.03.0705.R for reference if anyone who is getting IP v6 successfully could compare. Thanks.

I spent wasted time trying to configure a Mikrotik router to get IP v6 with the Sky line with no luck

So it's just IP v4 I'm getting when i check whatismyipaddress, say (no IP v6 - not detected). Sky router won't give me a public IP v6 atm.

So just curious if anyone knows when/how they are getting IP v6 addresses or is there a rollout to different exchanges and/or does my router need software update. I also checked with Sky Ireland support but got limited response.

Hi All,

Ive nest pro running to OnT via TP Link switch bypassing Sky Ireland ISP Broadband Modem (Not connected to chain)

When i test IsP modem directly I can pull IPV6. However when on chain or bridged ipv6 fails and is unavailable.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Im satisfied that Nest Settings and switch settings are all accurate, it just looks like Isp wont push IPV6 unless its direct to ISP modem.
