do i need a landline

I am upgrading to full fibre 150 and was wondering if i still need to pay for sky talk line rental or can i cancel this on my package as i dont have a phone to connect so isnt required or do i need it for the full fibre to work?

If you chose sky pay as you tallk tariff then no calls means no payments

'Landline' is an increasingly obsolete term when applied to telephony, but terrestrial broadband requires the rental of a data bearer circuit (either copper cable or optical fibre) and so this is a mandatory part of the monthly subscription billing.

So i pay £18.99 pcm for a sky talk line rental in additon to the £40 pcm full fibre so i need to pay for both?

Its split on my bill so im assuming i need both

I cant cancel the sky talk line rental if i want to keep the internet, is that correct?

I dont have a phone so i dont use it to make any calls

@PlantGuy Sky line rental was done away with years ago! when you get my example FF500 for £29 per month the landline is FREE if you do not call out on it you pay NOTHING, all incoming calls are FREE. It is a handy for calling sky on 150 as it is a free call to them, no phone connected, then NO extra cost.

£40 plus £18.99 line rental would be unpleasantly expensive.

£40 plus £18.99 for an inclusive anytime calls bundle wouldn't be entirely unexpected.

You probably need to clarify the situation with Sky, and migrate to a current package with bundled line rental and Sky Talk Internet Calls with the default Pay As You Talk option.
