Hi all.

Is there any chance that Sky provides the service to install a socket for ethernet on a different room of the house? It's installed on my living room at the moment, but i need a new socket in the office on the floor above. Is that something that Sky proivdes?

Thank you.

@EmanuelSousa Not a service that sky would offer, you would be better to see if there is a local data company or even some ex OR employees that offer an installation service. If you do not require high speed's you can also consider doing a powerline through the mains electric, speed will not be that fast what is say's on the box is NO where near what is provided...

hi @JimM1 i've tried the powerline, but honestly impossible. The connection is very, very unstable. And i know it's comming from the powerline, because when i was downstairs before, i was fine. I've tried different plugs as well, but the result was all the same. I'll have a look at those companies, see how much will they quote me for then. Thank you for your reply !

Yeah, i've always done that. I've used the powerline for a few years now, but it was in a flat, so I never had any issues. But know, going one floor up, makes a lot of difference, specially cause the speed in my area isn't great already, so it makes it even worse. I'll see some companie's quotes, otherwise i'll just bring an ethernet cable up with some DIY in a middle!
