A straightforward swap of ISPs using the same line is done remotely and can hapoen anytime up until midnight as it happens whenever Openreach have a slot to make the changes. What should happen is the BT hub loses its connection and the Sky hub will connect around 45 minutes later.

As you hadcan engineer come out implies it isnt straightforward but you will do no harm by connecting the hub yourself if it works great if itvdoesnt nothings lost.

Sky engineer called today to swap over from BT. Was apparently told couldn't do it until after midnight tonight by BT. I rang BT and was told no issue their end, all processed. Engineer now left and said unlikely to be able to rearrange for two weeks. Can I just plug in the hub myself after midnight? Do I need an engineer?

Thanks. When you're getting conflicting information from Sky and BT it's hard to work out what's going on. Fingers crossed it's a simple plug in the hub solution
