topic FTTP Gigabit arriving in a month... upgrading my mesh network? in Broadband

Hi folks!

So up until now, I've been on FTTC superfast, and I did a bunch of research on this forum before to look at how I could set up a better Mesh network, but I ended up just sticking with Sky equipment because there were mixed reviews on here about how well dedicated networking equipment would work...

I'm wondering if now we have FTTP arriving in a month, if I wanted to upgrade our wifi experience in our house, what would the best route/brand/setup be? Is FTTP more compatible with third-party networking equipment than Sky's FTTC?

Our current setup:

- House is a very old detached property, 6 bedrooms and upwards of 20 rooms.

- 1 Sky Hub

- 1 Broadband Booster

- 3 Sky Q boxes used as mesh WAPs over 2.4Ghz WiFi - one is linked to the satellite dish.
