topic Wifi extender in Broadband

Hi

I'm really after some help please. I've recently joined Sky and having connectivity issues in my office. I've been in touch with Sky multiple times for a wifi extender to be told I need to change my package to the maximum.

With all due respect, you can provide someone with the maximum speed but the house is old, brick walls and doesn't mean it will solve the connectivity issues faced in the office.

With Virgin I've had my own mesh connected to solve this issue but these are not compatible with Sky and I was advised on a previous post to call up and I will be sent one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

@Andrew1511 wrote:

I've recently joined Sky and having connectivity issues in my office. I've been in touch with Sky multiple times for a wifi extender to be told I need to change my package to the maximum.

They are telling you that the WiFi Max subscription supplement is required for booster hardware to be allocated.

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of the legacy 'Broadband Boost' add-on and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell boosters except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Phoning Sky to go through a telephone diagnosis is required to have a booster or pod allocated to the account. Inevitably some Sky booster hardware has leaked onto a certain auction site and elsewhere online, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the default 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' bundled with all new Sky Broadband orders where Boost or Max is not added by the customer doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above plus a one month broadband subscription refund.
