Very unclear what you mean. Are you saying you expected to get an FTTP installation and got FTTC instead? Is FTTP actually available in the area?

Engineer visit when sky & broadband installed the engineer used equipment already here. Turns out he did not change the box in the wall and no ADSL black cable so I am paying for something I am not getting for the last 2 years.

Yes the engineer who attended said that the engineer used equipment already in situ and I don't had digital. No ADSL black cable connection.

@Sandy_G

ADSL is obsolete, and still in use in only a tiny percentage of addresses.

If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.

Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

@Sandy_G there are two main types of broadband delivery full fibre where a ONT box is fitted and partial fibre where the hub connects to the standard phone socket. Which you get depends on what services Openreach can offer in your road. Sounds like you have a partial fibre service. This used to use ADSL but these days the vast majority of services use the faster VDSL system speed you get depends on the length of the copper phoone line..

The longterm plan is for all lines to be switched to full fibre and Openreach are investing £20bn to transfer those lines which meet their commercial criteria you can check what their plans are for your address here https://www.openreach.com/fibre-checker full fibre supports faster speeds and is far more reliable. Something around 75% of UK addresses can already access full fibre from at least one provider this is expected to rise to 96% by 2027.
