Sky UK Ltd, part of Sky Group (a division of the Comcast Corporation) does not provide Technicolour routers, which are typically rather nasty bits of hardware. Even if they did, sending a configuration signal to activate WiFi makes no sense.

Edit: I see you mentioned business broadband, and I suppose it's possible that the Business Hub is a Technicolour unit.

Hi. I have a ONT connection with a Technicolour router. When connecting the router to the Ont I can get lan connections but no WiFi is showing. The default login and WiFi on the back of the router don't work.
it appears sky need to send a configuration signal yet no one on sky business can assist.
any idea how I can get this. Earliest date for an engineer is 2 weeks away.

If you choose to use a third party router which some customers choose to you need some technical knowledge as Sky wont help. Technicolor is anunsual choice for a domestic network.

this is a genunie sky supplied router - no magic tricks involved. I am a residential client on a large ONT development and the broadband is supplied by SKY BUSINESS (900mb Fttp). Technical support call centre is chocolate fireguard standard.

I have my own ASUS router which works fine on the ONT FTTP but there are some smart devices that are with the property that refuse to connect to my router and i wanted to rule out any possible 'lock out' that could possibly have been done. I am sure there isnt and it is the tech kit that isnt working but for my own piece of mind ...

Also want to find out if ONT fttp is WAN dynamic or static as i am running a webserver ... but none at sky support can tell me....
