Sorted
Not actual router directly but maybe quirk of my TV

Reset TV back to factory settings and there's a specific privacy setting to be checked to allow tv to access internet for catch up services (which Netflix is surely not flagged as hence it working and other catch up services not?)

I guess somehow a new router has required this to be rechecked? Or coincidentally free view and catch up went haywire at same time?

either way it's fixed 👍

In the course of fixing some speed issues I was given a new router by Sky this week.

I connected all my devices no problem but since then I have been unable to access freeview and other apps on my Smart TV, they give the error that I am not connected to the internet but my TV states it is plus I CAN access Netflix

I am not technical; could new router be responsible? Seems too much of a coincidence? But Netflix works?

thankyou

Have you set up your TVs internet connection again because unless you used the same Wifi name as your previous router you new one will have come with a new name and therefore your TV will need setting up again.

Yes done. Like I say I can access Netflix.

It's very odd. Perhaps it's not router related and an odd coincidence.
