topic Pre Install WiFi Pods in Broadband

Hello, I'm changing over from Virgin Media to Sky over the next 2 weeks.

In order to get WiFi in all rooms of the house, Virgin sent me 3 WiFi Pods to use with their router, and this works well.

But, all this equipment is going back when I switch over to Sky. Due to the structure and layout of my house, I know I'll have the same issues with Sky broadband as the router is going to be in much the same location. As the WiFi Pods are practically the same as used from Virgin, can Sky be proactive and also send 3 WiFi boosters to me so that my WiFi will work fully from the 1st day of installation? As I work from home I really cannot accept a poor connection service or the slow " see what it is like first then we will look at options" kind of approach.

Firstly, you need to subscribe to the additional cost WiFi Max to get any Pods.

Secondly, the suck it & see is very much the Sky approach to this. So in short, the answer to your question is no.

Personally I;d look at buying your own mesh system that you can keep in place when switching again in future, & not be reliant on whatever the ISP may or may not offer.
