Sky doesn't use email for such issues, and it's not possible to choose where a call will land.

FTTP installation does have limits imposed by the fibre pigtail required to run between the external CSP and internal ONT, and unfortunately the location of an existing copper connection and master socket isn't necessarily relevant in any way: ours is in a completely different place.

Having said that, a kitchen would almost always be inappropriate.

Thank you for your reply. After going through the scenario with 3 different people in the overseas call centre (who just don't listen to the problem) it was quite concerning that the last person I spoke to suggested that I purchase a double adaptor to enable me to run the broadband and my electric kettle from the same point!!! I am appalled that a so called advisor would suggest something that could be dangerous.

After flatly refusing to do this I was finally tranferred to 'complaints' in Scotland who did listen and common sense prevailed - we agreed it was not possible to fit the high fibre. So I am sticking with what I have.

Have linked the hubs below, just incase you have one off the 2 older hubs ending life DEC2025.Take a look when you get a free minute.

Sky Hub and the Sky Q Hub are on the slidding slope to the end off life....

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/set-up-hub-which-sky-hub-do-you-have
