A cable does not have a purple end

For the instalation of the hub the instruction is "plug the purple end of the black cable into the purple port on the back of your hub. And the other end into the master socket." Yet the cable which was delivered in the box together with the hab does not have the purple end. Both ends are the same and are yelow. Both fit to the soccket but not to the purple port of the hub. How to proceed with the instalation?

What service have you subscribed to, full or part fibre? If the former then the ethernet cable you have should plug into an ONT rather than a master socket.

I've ordered

Services: Sky Full Fibre 300

Equipment: Sky Hub 4.2.

Then you have the right cable. You should either have the box I pictured or an appointment to have one fitted.

I followed the youtube instruction. It was very helpful. Thank you!

Yet after conecting thu hub I have only two green diods for power and WiFi but not for Internet. I've tried to conect the hub both to a socket in the wall and to the open reach box on the wall. And it is the same. The internet diod is not getting green.

The open reach box has status diod - green, fault diod - red, charging - without light.

Any sgestions what I could try next?

The LEDs you've menyioned are on the BBU (battery backup) which is now obsolete. What LEDs are lit on the ONT as I pictured?

My box is bigger.

It has 5 LEDs:

TEL 1 - no light

PORT1 - no light

LOS - no light

PON - green

POWER - green.

That looks good apart from the no Port1 LED. That suggests that the ethernet cable isn't connected between there & the Hub's port 4/WAN.

That should flash when there's data being sent between the ONT & Hub.
