topic Fibre installation delay in Broadband

Just a simple question really. I am supposed to get my fibre installed and activated today. I got a call saying they are reviewing my building area and since I live in a Flat and I am the first to ask for full fibre they are planning to do a full fibre installation in the junction box for all the available units. The review itself has been scheduled for 18th March. No ETA for the actual installation and activation. Now I have to pay more for than expected for the upcoming months as my old broadband contract ends tmr and the default rate kicks in making my bill almost double of what i was paying. Does the auto compensation applies to me as well?

Possibly:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

Did they originally give you an activation date of today because if they did you could argue that it has now been delayed.
