topic Downloading files tanks my internet connection in Broadband

I have the Sky Broadband Hub and a fibre connection with a max of 67mb/s down, which is the highest available in my area.

My internet is generally fine but whenever I'm downloading files, from pretty much any device, the rest of the internet totally tanks. This is incredibly noticeable when it comes to downloading/updating PC/PS5 games as I'm having to do them overnight while everyone's in bed and not using the internet.

Is there anything I can do to mitigate this? It's definitely not a Wi-Fi thing as my PC is hardwired and the PS5 is using a powerline, and it does happen with other devices too. It's almost like the entire bandwidth is getting allocated to the download so that nobody else can do anything, even browsing the web at the same time is really, really slow. Was hoping there may potentially be a router setting or something that could help with this?

Thanks

@TylerSands12 given game files can be many tens if not a hundred Gigabytes they can use all of your bandwidth for hours. Sky's hubs do not offer a Quality of Service feature which can limit bandwidth for a particular activity it is first come first served. Downloading updates overnight is on work round but you could buy a gaming router with QOS but frankly the only real solution is a faster link.
