Could your neighbour be a new customer and was therefore offered the new customer rates?

I have been a sky customer for 21 years, recently taking on sky broadband. We have just had full fibre installed in our area but the price is different for me and my neighbour. Any thoughts on why? I have been quoted £43 for 500 which is lowest i can upgrade to, however my neighbour is being quoted £33 for the same and can also have 100,150 and 300 which are all obviously cheaper

The loyalty/ new customer rates are regularly discussed on here. Most if not all providers do this now. If you were to leave for another ISP then in 18 or 24 months you'll be in the same position and be able to return to Sky and benefit from a cheaper new customer rate.
