Hi

I was hoping someone could help. I am considering moving from Superfast 35 bradband to Gigaclear Ultrafast 400. Does anyone know if i need a Sky engineer to attend on the day of the switch to do anything to my Sky and minibox to make it compatible or will it work automatically?

Cheers

@Winnie13568

Two issues: Gigaclear installs its own optical cable infrastructure so they'll presumably be sending personnel to do that if it's not there already.

You'll then need to reset the main Q box and link it to the new WiFi: Sky typically wouldn't book an installer to carry this out (and there may well be a considerable wait if they did)

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/setting-up-sky-q-connect-to-third-party-router

You might then have to reset and reconnect the Q Mini using WPS from the main Q box.
