hello my contract with BT ends on 23/03/25 can i switch ro sky now or wait closer to the date

You would need to ask BT of that as there might be termination charges from them if you leave early but if there is then Sky would be you up to £100 in credit to change to them as per this:

If you do move early and you get charged a termination fee from Bt then you must provide a copy of the bill from BT where you have been charged and a copy of a statement showing that you have paid it and send these to Sky via this email address - switching credit @Sky.uk (all one word without the gap)

Don't bother swapping, sky fibre have not got their act together with this technology, my swap to a 300mb fibre speed dropped after 7 days to around 33mb and 23 days later Sky Network and Open Reach have still not sorted nor found the fault.

Just look at the complaints in this Sky Broadband section as nearly all topics complain of poor or non existant connection speeds.
