You can connect a third party router to the ONT but if you are in the UK it is sensible to buy one that support DHCPv4 Option61 like the range from Asus. While routers that lack that support may connect using the alternative DHCPv6 PD method but that onlyworks on 80% of lines. Ireland is different.</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P>Assume you know enough of how to configureca third party router although you will find wlk throughs on the forum for Asus and a few others in you sesrch. Note you will lose the Sky Talk land line if you use a third party router attached to the ONT.
