Hi @Redroo

It isnt possible for you to switch from 'Sky Gigafat' to 'Sky Full Fibre Gigafast' because Gigafast is inherently a Full Fibre product so you cant have been on it before if you weren't on full fibre. You must be switching from something different such as Superfast, or Ultrafast?

Regarding your router, Sky Gigafast automatically comes with the Sky WiFi Max hub (WiFi 6 hub) so you don't need the additional max addon for £4 a month if you don't want to pay it.

You can see the benefits that Max offers here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

Today I have switched from Sky Gigafast to Sky Full Fibre Gigafast. Does this come with the Sky Max router. I current have the standard sky broadband router. Ive had 8 emails, each contradicting what was just said. One said I was switching to Sky Full Fibre, plus Ski Wifi Max, at an additio9nal charge of £4 per month (I knew nothing of that during the phone call).

When I checke3d the future months billing it does not show any £4 charge for the SKy Wifi Max.

Will I get a new router or do I have to pay the £4 monthly fee. My current router is 7 years old and really is not comparrible to the wifi 6 Sky Max router. Any advice welcomed. Kevin.

@Redroo WiFi Max does always includecthe new white WiFi Max hub as the various extra services require that unit see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max.

My understanding is slightly different from @jamesn123 's in that existing customers dont get the white hub by default when they upgrade even to Gigafast. Many do as Sky really push the sale of the add. On bundle. Once you get the white hub you get to keep it even if you reject the add on.😉

Thank you James for the response.

The sky agent said I am currently receiving Sky Broadband Gigafast, and will upgrade to Sky Full Fibre.

Thats what confused me, as the cost for new is the same as what I receive now?

I questioned her and she said I was upgrading to the premium package.

I think the advisor is getting their wires crossed, there is no such thing as Sky Broadband Gigafast that isnt full fibre already. Perhaps they are talking about the WiFi Max addon
