If so, please separate them so that their channel names are different (e.g. by putting a 5 at the end of the 5GHz network).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;I&gt;This may not be an option on some routers, if that is the case please check for "compatibility mode".&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;What channel is the 2.4GHz network running on? If it is on auto, please change this to a manually selected network between 1-11 - preferably 1, 6 or 11.&lt;BR /&gt;Selecting the proper Wi-Fi channel can significantly improve your Wi-Fi coverage and performance. In the 2.4 GHz band, 1, 6, and 11 are the only non-overlapping channels&lt;BR /&gt;Adjacent-Channel interference occurs when devices from overlapping channels are trying to talk over each other. Channels that have interference from other devices are considered to be 'crowded'. The time it takes to transmit data is increased and you are left waiting for your Internet request to be made.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;What is your security encryption set as? It should be WPA2-PSK. You should be able to find this in the security settings of your router setup.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;if you have devices that wont connect to the default settings splitting bands can help if the router allows it. However on the newer white Sky Max hubs you cannot split wifi bands the recommendation is to temporarily disable the 5GHz band connect the device and then turn the 5GHz back on.WiFi6 requires both bands to be on a single SSID.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Again only the okder black hubs allow manual channel selection most newer routers including Sky's WiFi Max hubs dont allow manual channel selection as the hub does this automatically.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Agree WPA2-PSK is the lowest wifi security standard you should use (all Black Sky hubs default to that) however where a router offers the higher security level of WPA3 or WPA3-T use those unless you again have older devices that wont connect. Most but not all WPA2 compliant devices will connect to the WPA3-T setting (T is for transitional) which is the default on the white Sky Max hubs.&lt;/P&gt;
