@Stirling most of the preliminary work in running fibre does not require the engineers to have an appointment for a survey visit. If an issue is noticed the job may need extra work. Examples are of an expected run from a pole to your property is obstructed by a tree or a dig is required for an underground run. In my own install a duct was thought to be blocked so a civils team was required delaying things for a couple of weeks. It can literally be anything. Openreach wont talk to you and it is unlikely Sky will be able to tell you much more if you call them.

Sorry to say you will have to be patient the job will be completed and you should be compensated for the delay see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com

Good Afternoon, Please can you advise if or when I will get my fibre upgrade ordered in January activation date was 19th February 2025

I receive weekly updates with the following reasons with no updated date when or if fibre will be upgraded

1. No engineers available

2. Fault has to be resolved

3. No equipment in place

I would just like an actual date of implementation.

Thank you

Stirling Matthews
