We had full fibre broadband installed on Monday (20th) and the WiFi signal is not available in one room and poor in some parts of the house ( only a 2 bedroom house)

the speed on the first day was 86 and today it's gone to around 57

we were told the speed we could get would be as high as 128 and we would at least be guaranteed over 100 - I know it's just been installed but the old broadband package and router was much better - will this be resolved by itself if I wait a few more days or do I need it checked out ?

@frankietom how are you measuting speeds? The guarantee applies tomthecspeed test Sky run in the Service Checker in the My Sky app somfirdtly check that if you click on the spedd result it shouldcshow you the history and the guarantee which applies from day 10 as some connections take time to achieve full speed. This technically doesnt apply to full fibre but that is Sky's policy.

Full fibre normally delivers to the hub what you buy but rarely there can be issues but far more commonly the problem is wifi speeds in the customers home. If the speeds shown in the checker looks fine but speeds in your home aren't first consider if the hub is in the optimum position. Which is out in the open on a surface so the signal isnt being blocked by furniture erc. You may need a longer cable than Sky gave you to link to the ONT any new ethernet cable should work if that applies.

A two bedroom traditional home can be more difficult to network than a 4 bed new build as solid internal walls are a pain but you should get the same performance as before if everything is equal.

I have a wifi booster and still cannot reach my doorbell which is 10metres from the hub. Only a small bungalow max coverage I get is 6 metres from the hub(which is in open air on a table.

I was sold full fibre as a great wifi provider. I would never have changed my original set up for this had I known the problems. Sky should only provide this on their max package, unless you live in a shed.
