Setup the right IP range, disabled DHCP (finally), sorted my port fowarding, split the Wifi channels and sorted the Option 61 which was ridiculusly easy.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Took me longer trying to open the box.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Months of stress and fighting that stupid box gone in a second.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It's such a shame sky are forcing us down this route when all they needed to do was keep the options open in the router and maybe get rid of that daft app.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They at least need to be informing people of all the things they've disabled when you agree seems I'm now paying a monthly fee for that router and fast support that will refuse to help me as I've changed the router.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I doubt I can even set it up as an access point.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks Sky, I'll be off when my contracts out if this is the way they treat there customers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is there anyway to get the port forwarding to display IP addresses (or even better to do it though the web gui rather than the horrid stupid stupid horrid app).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have well over 50 devices, I'm trying to port forward one of my servers but all of them are showing as "Generic Brand Vendor: Proxmox Server Solutions" and they're not even sorted together.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm not sure how your meant to work anything out on there as everything shows as either generic something or other or just displays the MAC address (it's none of those unfortunately as I cross referenced them against my DHCP server).&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Trying to set up any Sky hub for a network with multiple servers is going to be a nightmare as the hubs are designed to give access to a single games console or security camera.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sky hubs are configured for normal domestic use which can be frustrating for hobbyists or users with complex set-ups as they are heavily locked down. Do yourself a favour and buy a third party router which can be configured as you want. If you are in the UK and want to connectvdirectly to the line you will require a unit that supports Sky's use of DHCPv4 Option61 which not every msnufacturer does but Asus are a safe choice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for the answer and this is the route I'll go when I've got some spare cash.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately when you sign up (and pay extra) for this router sky don't mention any of this to you and the old black router does all these things just fine but sadly can't handle the 900mpbs connection without crashing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I really don't get why they went out of there way to make this thing so much worse than there old routers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

However only a small % of Sky's 6 million customers ever need to change the default settings. The majority of those that have to want ease of use rather than flexibility. That and the need to deal with issues with browser inceasingly refusing to recognise that internal web addresses do not need the security levels of external sites and refusing to connect are the reason behind switching to an app. Sky's hubs have always been locked down and that isnt going to change Sky areca mass market provider there srecspecialist ISPs who areca better fit for enthusiasts.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ofcom require ISPs not to stop customers usingbtheir own kit but stop at requiring them to offer support. In practice the reason why Sky need the hub to be used when reporting faults is the units run their diagnostic systems.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;True it's always been somewhat locked down but never like this before, my old black router was fine but couldn't handle the connection speed without crashing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It would have just been nice if they explained on the pone that the white thing was so locked down.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, sorry to be a bother but I have the sky broadband hub and I will not let me open any ports.&amp;nbsp; I want to run a node of my laptop and it seems to be blocking port forawarding.&amp;nbsp; Could I follow the same advice and buy an additional router to do this.&amp;nbsp; If so I am a proper newbie and could i be a pain and ask how to do this? Thank you so much in advance&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Cooners - "I doubt I can even set it up as an access point."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yes you can,&amp;nbsp; downside is every time there is an update it reverts to default ip 192.168.0.1&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using the SR102 variant for the past 5+ years, less of a problem these days with infrequent updates.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Web search&amp;nbsp; for sky router + access point, if unavailable pm and I'll look for the original pdf I might still have.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
