Consider changing the router that was provided by sky to your own one. The router provided by sky is using wifi5 which was released in 2014 🥲

Can anyone help with this please. I have recently upgraded to Sky Fibre 500 only

for my daughter as she is a gamer. However there is zero difference for her with the old broadband to this one, ping terrible. There are only 2 of us in the house so multiple items not being

connected at the same time. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is there a fix as I am not paying the higher premium for something that states is excellent for gaming but clearly isn't. Thanks

@Sarahc668_ can you post details of the average latency times you are seeing, how these are being measured and most importantly ehether the device is using wifi or ethernet cables to connect?

WiFi in the home is by far the most likely cause of higher latency and poor game play as it is affected by interference which causes higher jitter which is why keen gamers use Ethernet cables wherever possible.
