topic Sky wi-fi shocking in Broadband

J am getting rather sick of constantly having the wi-fi drop out. Either it doesn't load or drops out mid programme. I re boot many times a day and often simply cannot watch anything on the extra sky boxes or anything other than the main tv. This affects my mobile connection and often I see my phone using mobile data within my house where wi-fi is on. Come on Sky what are you playing at? I am up for renewal and I simply won't renew.

@Alison+Cassar WiFi signal strength is down to the layout of your home, how it is built and the level of interference none of which Sky or any other ISP can control. Sounds like you need more equipment to give decent coverage but before spending money its sortnchecking that the hub is in tge best position which is out in the open on a surface above obstructions like radiators. Sky will sell you a bundle called WiFi Max which can give you to 3 wify extenders if required see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

The cynic in me tells me this is exactly what Sky do. I have been with them 18 years and with this house for 10 and with this layout of space for 3 years, it's only when I am up for renewal that things go wrong, WiFi drops out, signal is shocking then miraculously after another booster bought it works. This is what I am sick of. It worked fine. Now doesn't.

@Alison+Cassar you are entitled to your opinion but therevis no indeoendent evidence thst your suspicion is true leaving aside that technically it would be a very complicated thing to arrange. However what is true is we all need faster WiFi these days and as your neighbours imporove their phones networks to get better performance interference increases.
