I have opened ports for my PC for use on certain games, however my daughter requires the same port to be forwarded on her Xbox but unable to do so, i know the reason why but can i just open the port (port forward) and select the router as a device instead of the pc? if so will it show as 'SKY' or could that be the sky glass?

@SimonC I dont think you can forward one port to two devices as there is no easy way for the router to know which traffic belongs to which device. Often apps have a range of ports if so choose different ones. The xbox will only show on the device list if it is on and connected to the hub.
