I have just received my Sky Pod and it has improved connection to my devices with the exception of my laptop.

My laptop will only connect to the Sky Max Router and thus does not pick up the stronger signal from the Pod.

Any ideas if this can be resolved?

I saw a similar question asked from Summer 2023, so wondered if anything had improved since then.

It was a 40 minute wait on the phone to talk to Sky so I thought I would post here.

Are other devices connecting to the pod fine. My laptop will sometimes connect to my booster when the router is the obvious stronger signal, found that switching off wifi connection on laptop will but not allways change to the required device, give it a try.

You may need to go onto the my sky app, broadband, open it my devices and is first if the pod is on line and 2 see what is connected to the hub and the pod

Did anyone get this sorted? I'm getting the same issue with my work laptop. If I move to my top floor, I can see from the MySky app, that my iphone moves over to the Pod, but the laptop stays connected to the Hub downstairs and the signal is not as strong.

Likely to be a driver or windows setting more than a Sky issue, especially if your phone is moving over successfully.

Yes, it was sorted by changing the security settings on Sky broadband (through the app) from level 3 to level 2 (if I recall corrcetly) then 'forget network' on the laptop and restrart it. Reconnected to the wi-fi and it's been fine ever since.

This is an old thread but just thought i'd reply in case anyone else is having the same issue that this worked for me. Go into advanced wifi settings>Wifi Security level and change from WPA3 to WPA2 and reconnect the laptop. It made me re-input my wifi network password but has picked up the stronger hub connection straight away rather than only connecting to the hub which is further away and through an external wall (office setup in garage).

You are right it's a work round which is required due to some devices not following the rules. .
