Hi,

I've swapped from Virgin Media to Sky. Virgin are trying to charge us claiming sky need to send them evidence of activation but Sky are stating they only need the Switch email which Virgin know about. Can anyone verify?

If you are not in any contract with Virgin then it shouldn't matter as you have now left them as you are free to do. Just give them the date you left and ask them when they are going to refund any overpayment.

Hi @Katie285

I'm in a similar situation. I'm due to switch when SKY broadband is installed on Dec 18th, but have just received my Virgin Media bill for the full month Dec 14th - Jan 14th.

Has anyone else switched and had this situation? I'm debating whether to cancel the direct debit with Virgin Media, but see they have a failed payment charge, which I'd be liable for for the small balance that would be owed.

Thanks

Apparently they'll send debt collectors if you do that but I was meant to get billed till 29th this month and they've extended it to January, so defo something to watch out for as virgin have not agreed to the switch
