@Joanne2310 in many homes you need additional wifinsources to get usable wifi coverage in every room. Sky sell an add-on called WiFi Max which can provide up to 3 pod extenders if required to get the 10 0r 25Mb/s guaranteed details are here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

We have never had this problem before with our previous provider so we are very unhappy with this service and don't think we should have to pay extra to have wifi directly above the router.

@Joanne2310 that is something you will have to take up with Sky.
