Conceivably the PC isn't happy with WPA3 encryption.

With a white Max Hub you may need to reduce the wireless security level from WPA3 to WPA2-PSK using the Hub settings in the My Sky app.

You can use the same settings to temporarily disable the 5Ghz WiFi band: remember to re-enable it afterwards if you do this.

New router issue

Hi all. New router (Sky Max 6) arrived and fibre installed (excellent job by Openreach).

Phones, tablets, TVs, SkyQ & minis, Sonos and Kindles all up and running fine and dandy. However, my PC cannot "see" the network in the list of available networks under the WiFi options. I've tried resetting the router, resetting the network connections on the PC, uninstalling and reinstalling the WiFi adapter, but still doesn't show. Any ideas?

Although I did connect via Ethernet, this is not practical as the router was teetering on the edge of the table and it's either limbo or high jump over the cable into the room the PC is in.

for clarification the PC and router are in the same place as before.

thanks

Hi, that appears to be a valid approach - the card in my PC does not support WPA3 or the 5GZ band. However, I've tried switching to WPA2 and the 5GZ band off, rebooting both the router and PC, but sadly still not showing in the list of available networks.

New router installed. Activation due today but all I can see is a red PON led. Will this go away once activated or have the engineers messed something up.

Not sure, the router cycled through the red, orange (yellow), green and then white a couple of times whilst the engineer was here - eventually staying white. Theory was it was performing a couple of updates. How long since they finished?
