IPv6 Connection Settings?

Hi all,

Following advie on here, I'm in the process of replacing my SR204 that connects my Sky g.fast BB. I've now got the following setup and it's working but should I have anyhting setup for IPv6?

MT992 Openreach Modem
Setup = Plug in!

Unifi Express

Settings, Internet
Advanced = Manual

IPv4 Configuration
IPv4 Connection = DHCPv4
DHCP Client Options = Option 61 Username|Password

IPv6 Configuration
IPv6 Connection = Disabled ??????????

Its completely up to you as to whether you want to use IPv6. If you do you can switch it on to native.

I am in teh exact same position with my Sky BB being set up next week.

Did you ever get the setting for this to work correctly?

I came across this and *I think* the user/pass is:Username: abcdefgh@skydsl Password: 1234567890abcdef (unconfirmed)

How to find your Sky Fibre Broadband VDSL username & password

That said, I know it's from a very old post and I'm not certain if it's current or will work with the latest SKY Ultrfast (G.Fast) service and the UDM Pro in 2024.

Never setup IPv6 and not sure what's is needed for / what I'm missing out on 🤷‍♂️

Are you replacing the Sky modem / Rputwr with a MT992 Openreach Modem?

The setup I'm running with the settings above works very well.

Yup, and I don't need ipv6 either.

So, you just took out sky hub, put in your old openreach mt992 and then used the above settings?

If that's the case then I should be okay (fingers crossed)

Well....

Openreach here at 9AM. They got everything working on the SKY all-in-one device that DOES NOT support modem/bridge mode.

They left, then I plugged in my old MT992 Openreach with the settings below and it all just worked!

Note that on the UDM pro you need to enter the legacy mode interface so that you can add the Option 61 with value:user|pass

I'm up for helping anyone else if you're reading this and struggling.

The username are password are this: abcdefgh@skydsl|abcedefgh (not account specific)

Please use your own DNS servers (I use NextDNS service, you may want to use the free Google DNS of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
