Hi, we have had endless problems with Sky Broadband so I bought a TP LINK. All my Sonos products started working! Finally!

We put two new Sky Q mini boxes in bedrooms and they would not link to the TP LINK. Sky sent an engineer who said that Sky Broadband hubs don't like TP LINK systems and disconnected everything saying that Sonos would be fine with the new Sky Q minis. He left and Sonos hasn't worked since. My TV appears to be connecting to a hub that isn't my hub - completley different ID. I keep trying to reset it to link to the ID on my hub but it just links back to the one he set up and that I just don't recognise.

How on earth has the Sky engineer managed to link me to a hub that's not even in my house?

How do I get the TV (and therefore all the Sky Q boxes) to speak to my hub?

@LouiseAM the strange SSID is being generated by the main Sky Q box to connect the Q minis. Sky Q is a legacy system that uses an early mesh system. To make this work with non-Sky WiFi devices the main Q box connects using the 2.4GHz band and generates a new SSID for the 5GHz band to link to Q minis. You lose the ability for devices to connect to the Q box's wifi hotspots.

If by TP-Link you mean a powerline adapter you can use thecadapter's Ethernet port to link to the Q mini as the unit will connect over Ethernet.
