topic Intermittent connection in Broadband

Hi! I signed up to Sky broadband in June(ish) this year. There hasn't been a single day where our connection hasn't dropped at least once but recently it's been a lot more frequent, dropping every hour or so, sometimes ony for a short time. As you can imagine this it getting frustrating with working from home etc. Is there anything we can do to fix this? We don't have loads of devices connected but surely that would affect the speed and not cause intermittent connection? Anyone got any wise advice? Thanks!

Tgexeasiest way to do that is to check the lights on your Sky hub when you lose connectio see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start

Hello @Chrisee thank you for your answer.

When the connection drops the light is red and then when it's trying to come back it flashes green so I guess this is the wifi dropping out?

@Emmalou061 as the trouble shooter tells you red means the connection tomthe exchange has dropped so it isnt a WiFi fault it is likely to be a line issue. Thecreccent badxweather is causing loads of issues on copper lines so if you are on one of those it maybe a case of waiting for the line to dry out but give Sky a call as they can advise you if they can get your line checked by Openreach.

if you are on a full fibre connection it is likely the ONT unit flashes red when the line drops which indicatesxa fault with the fibre connection which Openreach will check iut so call Sky to report it.
