Hi, I have a Ethernet connection to a sky pod, in the house speeds are 800gbps, (from the hub) in the outbuilding I am getting 600gbps - what's the max the sky pod could be? Are they limited?

The Max Hub is WiFi 6 (802.11ax) but the booster pods are WiFi 5 (802.11ac)

Thanks, so would you recommend I find a wifi6 extender? Any recommendations?

600Mbs is still an extremely good speed for WiFi: do you actually have a particular need for any individual device to receive more than that?

work - for virtual calls over zoom

gaming - to stream

I am just looking to optimise what I can

Zoom requires a handful of megabits at most.

Initial download of games from Steam gains some benefit in time saving between 600Mbs and 800Mbs, but actual gameplay does not: that suffers the more WiFi haps are in use.

For an outbuilding the biggest loss is probably the WiFi to get there: cabling is always preferable.

The wireless improvement compared to Max pods would be a WiFi 6 mesh of some kind.

The outbuilding has an Ethernet cable where I have 2 options, connect with a patch lead for my Mac, but ideally wanted to use wifi for phones and PlayStation (without trailing a cable across the floor to be hardwired) so I wondered, if the hub is wifi 6 I should replace the pod with a wifi 6 extender

@G-star extremly doubtful thst apart from better speed.tests that switching to WiFi6 will make any noticeable difference as @TimmyBGood definitely wont help zoom or any video apps or online gaming where 100Mb/s is overkill.

There might be a marginal improvement in download times for game files BUT that assumes Steam or whoever doesnt limit the bandwidth for each client as many do.
