Typically you'd use an RJ11 to RJ11 cable between the data socket on a filtered faceplate and the rear of a Sky Hub.

Hi, I have recently moved home and taken my sky router with me. Today my telephone line has been activiated by BT Openreach.

I have tested the phone line by plugging my phone directly into the socket and it works. When I try to plug the router in, it is not working. I have a Sky broadband hub 4.2 black with a black label on the back. The cable I used in my previous property was grey with a purple connector for the hub and a white connector into the bt socket. My new property has a BT open reach 5C with 2 sockets. Do I need a different cable?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
