Hi. I have got sky broadband starting today . I have connected to openreach but not working. Do openreach require adaptor too? Why I have not got same from sky? Please help to connect my wifi

What speed have you asked for?

If full fibre then openreach will need to install a fibre ont modem

@Upjeet you should have been sent Sky hubs which has the necessary cables and instructions you require. You can plug the hub in if you want but of course it won't connect to the internet until Openreach activate your line which can happen anytime up until midnight.

If the hub doesnt arrive or doesnt connect call Sky tomorrow, it is pointless doing so today because they have to wait for Openreach's report to come in overnight.

So openreach will active late evening by 30th though my activation starts from mignight 30th 12am ?

@Upjeet exactly when the engineer makes the physical connection will depend on the workload at your exchange and is unpredicatable. Most happen sometime during the working day BUT Sky will not be told if there is an issue until the system updates overnight.

Ok so I have to wait and no adaptor required to connect openreach ? It just connected through external fibre wire of openreach and then now I have connected through the wire given by sky.

@Upjeet if you required extra kit you would have an appointment for an enginnercto come and fit it for you.
