Hi,

Quick question but is it possible to turn off Wifi 6 on the Sky max hub router?

So I can use WifI on my phone

Thank you 🙂

WiFi 6 is an international hardware standard rather than something which can be turned off.

Do you perhaps mean WPA3 encryption, which is part of the WiFi 6 specification?

I'm a bit confused really, as I was told that in order to connect my phone reliably to a router the Wifi6 must be turned off.

apparently its also called IEEE 802.11ax.

but I don't know where this option to change that is in the router.

Thankyou,

I'll just have to wait for Samsung to release a fix for my phone then.

It's kind of irritating that it keeps connecting and disconnecting to the WiFi

A known issue with the Galaxy s23 FE but I didn't realise how annoying it can be as sometimes it will remain connected to the WiFi for hours then the next day you're constantly having to manually disconnect and reconnect it every few minutes.

Its not a Sky issue at all but seemingly one which affects certain Samsung phones using WiFi6 and the solution given was to switch off Wifi6 which sadly doesn't seem to be able to be done 😞

It however seems a bit better with the 5ghz band off so I'll keep it like that for the time being
